Content Links are just as you think, links within content.  As time has moved on in the world of search, a text link with supporting content are becoming the norm.  Google is constantly updating their algorithms and valuable content has become almost as important as a link.  You should have expert content on your own website to support the keyword(s) and the page that links to you should have content just as valuable to support it.  Not just the page that links to you, but the entire site should be somewhat related by either a specific category that talks about your niche or the entire website.  The website we work with on the regular content links will tend to be less authoritative, but they still work and are much more cost-effective than authority sites.  The ratio of what you get with content links to authority links are about 10 to 1, meaning you could get 10 content links for the price of 1 authority link.  These are typically published within 3-5 days so on the link building side of things, you are likely to see the benefits faster than authority links.
